Tea Time by Jorine Oosterhoff

Date 03 February 2010

Take Alice’s hand and escape into Wonderland with the quirky Tea Time tea set by Dutch designer Jorine Oosterhoff.

The tea set is based on characters that form part of a fantastical “high-tea” family of cups, milk jugs, sugar pots and cake stands.

Each piece in the handmade porcelain set has its own unique identity, and with their character-like look, they seem to come alive, living their lives on the tea table like soldiers in a make-believe nation.

Designer Jorine Oosterhoff was born in The Hague in 1981. Since childhood, she’s had a fascination with surrealistic stories, animation, characters and ceramics.

In 2005 she graduated at the Arnhem Academy of Art and Design in The Netherlands. Her design studio, JORINE, was also found in 2005 and is currently based in Arnhem. Here she creates her own projects as well as projects for clients.

Where in Cape Town can I buy this!? - bia

This is a breath of fun. So beautiful to see more fun and happiness in this very serious time. We should spend more time making people smile and laugh and remember the amazement of life. - gail robinson

Hi Bia. Unfortunately we don't know of any suppliers in SA who stock the range. The best would be to contact Jorine directly to find out if she exports it to SA. - VISI
