Woodstock revival

October 11, 2011   Tags: cape town, studio, creative

It’s no secret: Woodstock in Cape Town is the place to be seen if the term “Cape Town creative” applies to you. Now the Joburgers want in too and Tonic’s setting up shop there.

For VISI 57, our Hidden Issue, we popped into a few Woodstock studios to see where the work of people like James B. Hannah, Daniel Ting Chong, Pederson + Lennard and many other big names on the local scene is created. We were also allowed the first sneak peek into Tonic’s new space.

Watch our behind-the-scenes video and get your hands on VISI 57 to see why we're excited about the revival that's currently taking place in Woodstock, and how her de-industrialisation and the folding of factories has opened the way for a new wave of design in the heart of Cape Town.
