Living in the Endless City

October 24, 2011   Tags: architecture, city, book

In 2050 over three quarters of the world’s population will live in cities. Living in the Endless City, the follow up to the hugely successful The Endless City, takes a look into issues that affect three cities.

This look into life in the 21st Century is based on a series of conferences held by the London School of Economics. It examines Mumbai, Sao Paolo and Istanbul through a series of essays by global scholars and thinkers.

Mind-blowing photographs, illustrations and statistics will show the current and future states of these bustling cities, with regards to everything from crime and transport to wastage, and everything in between.

Living in the Endless City is published by Phaidon and sells for R630.
