The art of dressing
by VISI BLOGGER Nadine Arendse
Style expression, captured on the spot.
What makes you look twice? Is it the nostalgic feel of the outfit? The little detail? Perhaps the leather clasp of the neckerchief that reminds you of your grandmother? Or the colour that contrasts light with dark, and which is complemented with fine floral elements and light-weight cotton, silk and lycra? Do you find the quirky rendering on the vest intriguing?
There’s something unexpected that makes you stop and pay attention to the individual presenting this ensemble in a way that makes the untamed street become her cat-walk. Liezel le Roux, Senior Graphic Designer, shares a few notes on her style…
How long does it take you to get dressed in the morning?
10 minutes.
What are your three bare necessities?
Footless tights, black pumps and my glasses.
Name a pair of shoes you can't live without?
Gold-and-red dragon heart heels, designed by Vivienne Westwood for Melissa's Shoes.
What is your dream job?
To be the Art Director of Wallpaper magazine.
What name would you give to a street?
Dessert Street.
