Piet Boon Studios has transformed an old church into a super trendy gourmet hotspot.
The concept behind this beautiful space is the notion of “food as religion”.
The Jane’s open-plan, glass-encased kitchen is located at the old altar, so patrons can watch their meals being prepared by Michelin-star chef Sergio Herman.
Classic arched ceilings and detailed mosaic flooring are some of the original features preserved by the design studio. They are contrasted with modern light installations, including a chandelier by PSLAB. Furniture is chic and current, playing with the pressed pillars and walls. The stained glass windows received a modification too, now representing contemporary designs as opposed to biblical scenes.
