Perched above Cape Town’s city centre, 180 Lounger invites both locals and tourists to bask in panoramic city vistas while enjoying the functionality of a luxury work-play oasis.
Entrepreneur Christian Halm came up with the concept for 180 Lounger after finding he had nowhere convenient to relax and work between flights. He wasn’t looking for a simple workspace or luggage storage facility, he wanted both… with a view.
When he found himself on the 16th floor of The Terraces on bustling Bree Street, he was taken aback by the awe-inspiring views, and knew it was the perfect place to offer locals a breakaway from their chaotic offices and business travellers an alternative to rushing to the airport.
One year ago, 180 Lounger opened its doors as an inner-city gem that offers guests carefully curated indoor and outdoor spaces, uncapped Wi-Fi, luggage storage, shower facilities, a bookable meeting room, and a snack and beverage bar. It’s the ideal spot if you’re looking to step away from the office for a bit, enjoy after-work sundowners, host an event or soak up the last bit of the Cape Town CBD buzz before you jet off.
