Launched in October 2017, Guntu is a luxury Japanese floating hotel in the Seto Inland Sea, designed to blend into its natural surroundings.
Each of the 19 cabins has a light-filled terrace with a view, and on deck you will be able to shop, gym, hang out, soak in the hot springs, have a drink at the bar and indulge in fine dining.
The routes vary depending on the seasons and unlike a steam-liner, the hotel won’t make stops. Guests are taken by tender boats to nearby attractions, including the raw coast lines and temple ruins.
A one-night stay (you can stay up to three nights) will set you back approximately R50 600 for two people.
