Local ceramics studio Rialheim has opened a new flagship store in Joburg’s Rand Steam shopping precinct, with an extended product offering and a new café.

“As the company diversifies and enters a new era, we wanted to celebrate local artisans, collaboration and design a new retail experience that not only encourages consumers and trade clients to experience the brand like never before but also to feel immediately at home by offering a casual café, Boho Café & Co., inviting visitors to lounge a little longer and engage with our team,” says Creative Director Rial Visagie.

The new shop, in the heritage-rich suburb of Richmond, was designed by local interior designer Megan Ralph, in collaboration with the Rialheim design team. Featuring custom-designed, hand-made Rialheim clay wall tiles, low-hanging pendant lights and a table lamp collection, the new space was the perfect fit for the launch of the brand’s latest products.

The space sees wood from the previous store in Linden upcycled by Melkweg Design, highlighting the sustainable ethos of Rialheim. The shop also features artisanal steel fixtures and state-of-the-art furnishings by Out The Box Welding and Design.

Rialheim Rand Steam is located at Shop 20, Rand Steam Shopping Centre, Corner of Barry Hertzog & Napier Road, Richmond, Johannesburg. For more information, visit rialheim.com.
