Stephanie K. Clark’s Latest Work

Utah-based multidisciplinary artist Stephanie K. Clark (previously featured here) describes the creation of her dreamy pieces as painting with thread.

Contrary to traditional painting, Stephanie uses strands of multicoloured thread to plot landscapes and houses in such a way that from a distance they look like they are made up of brushstrokes.

Much like painting, she creates layers of colour and texture with strands of string. Her work varies in size from large-scale to minuscule, with the larger pieces taking up to 20 hours to complete.
