Nestled in Paris’s ninth arrondissement is an everything-French inspired apartment that has been made over by interior design studio 10surdix.
This suave space is the epitome of bohemian retro design. Its Mid-century Modern lines merge important historical references from the ’30s to the late ’60s with contemporary influences. The romanticised space boasts industrial accents and a Mid-century sideboard with dark walnut circles and gold-plated brass finishes. Circles are engraved on the back and side of the unit, giving it a strong personality and high-end look perched on dramatically tapered legs.
The open-plan living space is characteristic of typically French industrial interiors while a more modern and slightly bohemian look was achieved through minimalist decorative elements such as DelightFULL‘s Clark suspension chandelier. An unhung, oversized mirror adorns the lounge wall making the room appear larger, while a concrete accent wall covered in hand-painted flowers adds dimension and oozes romanticism.
