Zaria Forman’s Climate Change Pastels

WORDS Michaela Stehr IMAGES via mymodernmet.com

Zaria Forman creates hyper-realistic, soft pastel drawings to raise awareness about and document the threatening process of climate change.

These large-scale landscapes depict the massive glaciers that are quickly melting as temperatures rise around the globe. Zaria spent the last two years travelling with NASA over Antartica, Greenland and Arctic Canada, tracking the movement of the ice from above. She uses images she captures to create her body of work.
